Making Waves: Operatic Rebels and Rule-breakers
The University of Montana Opera Theater presents an evening of opera and musical theater scenes on Tuesday, November 11, 2008 and Wednesday, November 12, 2008.The performances will begin at 7:30 P.M. and will be held in the Music Recital Hall in the Music building. Admission is $10 for the general public and $5 for students/seniors.
The UM Opera Theater is a lively and dynamic ensemble. Develop your performing skills and your understanding of technical theater in full operas, musicals and scenes programs. Our 2006 production of Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro won a National Opera Association Award for Best Opera Production!
Other recent productions include Puccini's Suor Angelica and Gianni Schicchi, The Magic Flute, Urinetown, Die Fledermaus, and Evita. In addition to full productions, yearly scenes programs are done with sets and costumes, accompanied by piano.
