Mountain Computer Music Festival

Last year's Mountain Computer Music Festival at the University of Montana featured works for electric bass and piano with real-time computer-processing, as well as an interactive computer-music installation, by Brian Belet, from the faculty of San Jose State University.  The festival will also feature a piece for interactive microphone controller, developed by alumnus Matthew Setzer, currently studying at the California Arts Institute, and two pieces for computer-processed video and sound.  University of Montana student works will include pieces for tenor saxophone, spoken word, digeridoo, and piano, with interactive computer-processing, and the faculty work will be a piece for guitar and computer-sequencer, by Charles Nichols.  The interactive installation will start at 7:00 pm and the concert will begin at 7:30 pm, on Friday, September 21, in the Music Recital Hall of the University of Montana.  Admission is $3 for students and $5 for adults.
