Piano Camp
June 21st-27th, 2009
Students who have completed 7th-12th grade won't want to miss The University of Montana Piano Camp 2009 this summer from June 21st-27th on the beautiful Missoula campus! Participants will enjoy close daily interaction with our Distinguished Resident and Guest Artist Faculty as we explore solo, ensemble and jazz styles together.
Activities
Daily partner lessons will help each student realize their musical goals in solo and ensemble literature. Campers will prepare two ensemble pieces for the Final Camp Recital, a traditional duet or duo with their camp partner and a multiple piano ensemble piece. Solo performance opportunities include Masterclasses and the UM Piano Camp Honors Recital.
Special Interest Sessions will be presented by the faculty and staff throughout the week. FUNctional Piano Classes in our multiple piano labs will cover essential skills for young pianists. Our wonderful camp counselors, Allyson Carroll and Jesse Lee, are planning a host of social and recreational activities to round out this memorable week!
