Brass
The brass and percussion area joins the other applied sections in the Department of Music in enjoying a long-standing tradition of excellence in providing quality opportunities in individual instruction. Coupled with a vast array of performing opportunities for student players, one-on-one instruction on trumpet, horn, baritone horn/euphonium, tuba, and percussion instruments creates invaluable learning. Larger wind/percussion ensemble experiences are further enriched by orchestral, chamber ensemble and solo opportunities to provide students with a diverse, balanced menu of educational settings. Graduates of the brass and percussion area programs have achieved notable success as teachers and performers .
