Events

The chapter sponsors many events within the Department of Music, both social occasions as well as professional development opportunities, such as:

1) a September ice cream sundae party honoring all incoming music students;

2) bake sales and other fund raisers;

3) “Meet the Musician Series” in which in-service music teachers discuss their careers;

4) trips to the Montana Music Educators Association Convention as well as other MENC conferences;

5) an Annual Fund Raiser Gala Evening;

6) A “Singing Telegram” Fund Raiser for Valentine’s Day;

7) “Feast of Fools” (a very silly recital in honor of April Fool’s Day);

8) An Evening for Student Teachers to discuss Diverse - Abilities in their Music Classrooms;

9) Organizing stage managing training sessions;

9) Coordination of the Peer Mentoring Program in which new music ed students are paired with experienced music ed students.
