2008-2009 Faculty and Guest Artists

The faculty of the Department of Music includes two dozen artists/teachers representing a diverse background of musical experiences and excellent preparation and training. Those providing private studio instruction are active performers and teachers, many of whom appear throughout the year in this series, as chamber musicians, and members of larger musical groups. Ensemble conductors are recognized professionals frequently called upon to serve as guest conductors, adjudicators, and clinicians for events throughout the region. Those focusing on teaching academic coursework actively pursue research/creative activity and publication, staying abreast of current trends in their related field and providing professional leadership. Each year, the Department of Music draws upon visits and residencies by internationally renowned guest artists/clinicians to further enrich and inspire student growth and faculty development.

All performances are at 7:30 P.M. in the Music Recital Hall on campus unless otherwise noted.
