For the B.F.A., a student may choose courses from one of two tracks--Choreography/Performance; or Studio Teaching--which they must complete in addition to a set of core courses. The BFA is designed as a professional training program, for serious dance/artists interested in pursuing a career in the field. Courses cover such areas as Modern, Ballet, and Jazz Technique (beginning through advanced levels), Rehearsal & Performance, Contact Improvisation, 20th Century Dance History, World Dance, Kinesiology, Pedagogy, Dance as a Healing Art, beginning and intermediate Composition, Junior/Senior Project, and Dance Production.
